Specs
As listed by the seller, corrected where I measured something different.
- Cord length
- 5m
- Printed gauge
- 16 AWG
- Measured conductor diameter
- ~18 AWG equivalent
- Rated current
- 10A (printed)
Printed as 16 AWG on the reel label — calipers on the stripped conductor measured closer to 18 AWG.
What's in the box
- Reel unit with 5m cord
- Wall mount bracket
- No fuse, no manual
Opened this one up mostly out of curiosity after the cord felt warmer than expected running a
space heater. The conductor inside measures closer to 18 AWG than the 16 AWG printed on the reel
label — not dangerous at lamp loads, but not what’s advertised either. Downgraded to lamps and
chargers only, nothing that draws real current.
Opened up
I can tell you what's in there and how it's put together. I can't tell you whether the copper is up to spec beyond a caliper measurement — that's beyond what I can test.
